Dr Targett did a small operation in the GP surgery to remove a benign warty lump on my leg. Days beforehand, he gave me a horrifying 3-page list of possible consequences and complications to review, from "cosmetic embarrassment" to sepsis. In the event, it went ahead,and it didn't hurt at all - at the time or afterwards. It didn't bleed; and it didn't get infected. And, thanks to Dr Targett and the quiet efficiency of Advanced Nurse Practitioner Joy Godding who prepared me and the room and then assisted Dr Targett, the whole procedure was unalarming and a laugh!

He has a pleasant, reassuring manner. Surgery was conducted painlessly and left a small neat scar. In less than a week from stitches being removed it is already fading.

In this current covid time, with services being constantly stretched, I couldn't have received better care. I'm not one to call the Drs but after coming off my mountain bike and suffering the effects of that, I seem to be on the phone or seeing the Drs and NHS. Dr. Targett took my phone call and prescribed pain killers, he said any issues get back in touch. 12 hours later I call again and thankfully I was called back by Dr. Targett, who asked if I wanted to be seen, to which I said yes too. Have just finished my appointment and have had my mind and pain put at ease, amazing service, fantastic Dr. Very thankful to the NHS.
